The ”Zen Room” upstairs also features numerous green materials, including beautiful Teragren bamboo floors, Olympic zero-VOC paints, radiant floor heat, an ultra-efficient and low emission Baxi Luna HT condensing wall-hung boiler, south-facing skylights for passive solar heating, Energy Star rated air conditioning, ceiling fans, fixtures, and kitchen appliances, CFL and LED lighting, UltraTouch recycled denim insulation, a used island countertop resurfaced with the leftover bamboo flooring, and previously used kitchen cabinets refinished with zero-VOC paints. The bathroom door, a pair of glass cabinet doors, and some of the wooden trim were all purchased used from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
